  • Wedding Photography Frequently Asked Questions

  • Question: We live overseas and we are coming to Venice for our Wedding, Symbolic Wedding or Honeymoon

  • No problem, I have worked with clients who live in UK, Scotland, Ireland, France, Greece, The Netherland, Austria, Ceska Republika, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Romania, Republika Slovenijia, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zeeland, South Africa, Taiwan, China and Japan.

  • Question: Do you photograph only religious Weddings?

  • Not only, I have great experience in Engagement, Civil, Religious [Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Greek Orthodox, Armenian, Jewish] and Symbolic Wedding, Honeymoon, Special events & Family Portraiture!

  • Question: We want something contemporary but our parents want some traditional posed photos too. Can you do both?

  • Yes I can, I enjoy documentary style and informal portraits, but I am experienced enough to take simple posed group portraits, synonymous with traditional wedding photography.

  • Question: What are 'digital negatives' and why do I want them?

  • Digital negatives are the raw files (CR2 in my case) made by my Canon Digital Professional camera. These files contain every bit of information captured by the camera for each photograph. The files must be processed into .jpeg or .tiff files in order to be printed. In fact if you visit a high-end print shop, they may prefer to work with the original RAW file for very large or high-quality prints (let me emphasize it again without infringing my copyright).  Even more importantly the digital negatives are, in effect, the original photographs, and I believe my clients should have a copy of the originals for archival purposes.

  • Question: If you are using a digital camera, what to do to have prints in black and white (B&W)?

  • Digital photography gives great flexibility when it comes to B&W prints. The professional digital camera system I use records each image in high-resolution color. In fact, when your DVD of Wedding images arrives, you have one choices on screen: color, but with the supplied software Canon Digital Photo Professional it will be very easy to transform the files from color to B&W.

  • By adjusting the colors of the image before converting it to B&W, the conversion process can be highly selective and greatly controlled. Some images can definitely benefit from this process.

  • Question: After how many days the DVDs with the images of my Wedding will be ready to be shipped?

  • I usually have the DVDs burned within two or three days, ready to be hand-delivered or sent to your address, via RR registered mail (shipping cost not included).

  • Question: What is your medium of choice: digital, film or both?

  • After many years of film-based photography I now shoot wedding in digital. Although I can shoot film in outdoor on request (Color or B&W). Canon Professional Full Frame cameras are used, giving the ability to capture beautiful, amazingly detailed images. A CR2 file coming from this cameras contains a level of detail, dynamic range, tonality and overall quality that is hard to match. It is also provided the Canon Software: Digital Photo Professional, advanced image workflow and editing, specialized in CR2 (RAW) conversion with a range of adjustment and output options.

  • Question: Do you have backup equipment?

  • You never know when something could fail at an important moment, so yes.

  • Question: What do you do in case of illness or personal emergencies?

  • Let me say here that the professional always knows other professionals that they can call upon the step in for them in case of illness or personal emergencies, and that is exactly what I'll do it.

  • Question: What do you wear to Weddings? Do you wear a suit and tie?

  • No, because it makes me feel restricted, working with two cameras means I dress neatly but in a practical manner.

  • Question: What happens if it rains on our Weddings or Honeymoon day?

  • I will shoot as much as practically possible and you may get a bit wet.

  • Question: To avoid misunderstanding about the terms and conditions what you offer?

  • If you thing necessary I have a simple gentlemen's agreement, witch ensures there is no misunderstanding between the couple and me on the agreed terms and conditions.

  • Preferred Payment Method: By PayPal - the safer, easier way to pay.
  • We are sorry to inform you that, based on our past personal experience, we don't accept Credit Card or Personal Cheque.
