Winter
Workshop dates
are
based on student presence in Venice
In
winter,
when Venice and its islands
returns to her real and antique
dimension, it's possible to take a break
from everyday stress in a place that
conserves the natural rhythm of old
times.
This
means a great opportunity to visit
Venice and to appreciate the city
and his inhabitants through the lenses
of
your cameras.
It
is fun to get lost in a kind of maize of
calli e campielli where you can
discover the...liveliness of a cafe, an
inviting restaurant, the enchantment of
a church, the appealing of a museum and,
across a bridge, a shop of a local
artisan full of unrepeatable objects.
We
will move around Venice not as tourist
but as Venetian (like me). We
will try to understand, from the
photographic point of view, the
Venetians life; we will visit the squeri
places where the gondolas are built, the
markets, the bar and the mysterious and
hidden places of my unique city.
We
will discover the magic of the
Light and Colours of
the Venice Lagoon islands,
Murano, Burano and, why
not, Sant' Erasmo and Pellestrina,
unknown islands to the foreigners but
well known to the Venetians as supplier
of fruits, vegetables and fish for the
Venice market and then the beauty of
Venice.
In
Murano we will visit a glass
factory, where we will photograph with
low Light trying to discover
the art of making glass.
In
Burano we will be fascinated from
the magic of the Colours and we
will deepen study the Composition.
In
S. Erasmo and Pellestrina
we will be rapt from the magnificent
Landscape of the Venice Lagoon.
The date? I
leave to you the choice of the day in
which you will need to start your
workshop.
