Questions
Question:
We live overseas
and we are
coming to Venice
for our
Wedding,
Symbolic Wedding
or
Honeymoon.
Answer:
No problem,
I have worked
with clients who
live in UK, The
Netherland,
Austria,
Germany, Spain,
USA, Australia,
New Zeeland,
South Africa,
China, Japan and
Italian of
course.
Question:
Do you
photograph only
religious
Weddings?
Answer:
No I've
great experience
in Civil,
Religious
[Catholic,
Anglican,
Lutheran, Greek
Orthodox, Jewish]
and Symbolic
Wedding!
Question:
What shooting
style do you use
for Weddings?
Answer:
I practice
photojournalism,
also called
documentary or
reportage
photography,
which is
"capturing" the
image, not
"creating" it.
My objective is
to tell the
story of the
wedding using
the camera,
remaining
unobtrusive.
I will try not
imposing myself
or taking longer
than necessary.
Is recommended
to
have a
pre-wedding
meeting to
develop our
understanding.
Question:
What is included
in the standard
package?
Answer:
I would normally
cover the preparations at
the bride's
Hotel, the groom
and family at
the ceremony
beforehand,
the
ceremony, the
signing of the
register, the
couple leaving,
group shots of
the immediate
families and a
private moment
with just the
couple, shots at
the reception,
the cutting of
the cake, the
toasts if any... A
walking along
the Venice
Calli
and
a Gondola
ride
is strongly
suggested!
Question:
How many photos
do you take
during a typical
Wedding day?
Answer:
For three hours
assignment will
not be less than
500.
Question:
Wath about
the Cost?
Answer:
My
pricing
for
Wedding, Special
Event
and Family
Portraiture
photography is
very
straightforward
and is primarily
based on the
amount of time I
will spend with
you.
Question:
What
happens if it
rains on our
Weddings or
Honeymoon day?
Answer:
I will
shoot as much as
practically
possible and you
may get a bit
wet.
Question:
We want
something
contemporary but
our parents want
some traditional
posed photos
too. Can you do
both?
Answer:
Yes I can, I
enjoy
documentary
style and
informal
portraits, but I
am experienced
enough to take
simple posed
group portraits,
synonymous with
traditional
wedding
photography.
Question:
If you are using
a digital
camera, what to
do to have
prints in black
and white
(B&W)?
Answer:
Digital
photography
gives great
flexibility when
it comes to B&W
prints. The
professional
digital camera
system I use
records each
image in
high-resolution
color.
In fact, when
your DVD of
Wedding images
arrives, you
have one choices
on screen:
color, but with
the supplied
software Canon
Digital Photo
Professional
it will be very
easy to
transform the
files from color
to
B&W.
By adjusting the
colors of the
image before
converting it to
B&W, the
conversion
process can be
highly selective
and greatly
controlled. Some
images can
definitely
benefit from
this process.
Question:
After how many
days the DVDs
with the images
of my
Wedding
will be ready to
be shipped?
Answer:
I
usually have the DVDs
burned within
two or
three
days, ready to
be sent to your
address, via RR
registered mail.
Question:
What is your
medium of
choice:
digital,
film
or
both?
Answer:
After many years
of film-based
photography I
now shoot
wedding
exclusively
in digital.
Although
I can
shoot film in
outdoor on
request (color
or B&W).
Question:
Do you have
backup
equipment?
Answer:
You
never know when
something could
fail at an
important
moment, so yes.
Question:
What
do you wear to
Weddings?
Answer:
Do I wear a suit
and tie? No,
because it makes
me feel
restricted,
working with two
cameras means I
dress neatly but
in a practical
manner.
Question:
Contract

thing is
necessary I have
a simple
contract, which
ensures there is
no
misunderstanding
between the
couple and
photographer on
the agreed terms
and conditions.
